The core philosophy behind this film was a high-wire act: how do you capture the authentic, raw energy of a real-life bachelor party while maintaining the deliberate, visual style of a cinematic narrative? We didn't want to make a found-footage movie; we wanted to make a high-concept horror that completely blended reality with fiction.
Achieving this required meticulous, months-long planning where every member of our small cast and crew wore multiple hats. Our biggest hurdle was operational invisibility. We had to carefully choreograph drone photography to film us remotely, and strategically schedule scenes so someone was always freed up to run the cameras.
There was no downtime. Real-life necessities, like navigating a massive houseboat across Shasta Lake or sitting down for meals, became active production windows. We traveled to our next physical locations while staying entirely in character, treating transit time as an opportunity to capture scripted narrative beats on the move. By turning the real logistics of a lake trip into our primary production assets, we created a genre-bending filmmaking experience. The result is a wild, supernatural ride fueled by genuine camaraderie, toxic bro energy, and a very possessed beer keg.
